Iowa State University Extension and Outreach
The Local Foods Program of Iowa State University Extension and Outreach was created to support resilient food systems and healthy communities in Iowa. We support youth programming around local foods through our work with FoodCorps, 4-H, FFA and the Iowa Farm to School Network.

Healthiest State Initiative
The Healthiest State Initiative is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization driven by the goal to make Iowa the healthiest state in the nation. By engaging worksites, communities, schools, retail food, organizations, institutions and individuals, we can inspire Iowans and their communities to improve their health and happiness, and ultimately achieve our goal.
Iowa Valley Resource COnservation and Development
Iowa Valley RC&D works to grow local economies, strengthen food systems, foster protection and enhancement of natural resources, and develop awareness for the arts, history, and culture. Our expertise is in community food systems, planning, and placemaking.
Regional Food Systems Working Group
The Regional Food Systems Working Group of Iowa maximizes the potential for community-based, economically sustainable, and environmentally and socially responsible food enterprises by supporting education, conducting research, and facilitating partnerships.
Iowa Food Hub Managers Working Group
The Food Hub Managers Working Group was started in mid-2015 to address operating challenges and needs for food hub businesses in Iowa. Group members are exploring how they can work together build efficient distribution systesm, source more local products, build partnerships, and grow opportunities for farmers.

FoodCorps connects kids to healthy food in Iowa schools, so they can lead healthier lives and reach their full potential.
